IT Support Technician

Our client is looking to hire a IT Support Technician. The IT Support Technician will be responsible of technical support issues, software and hardware installation and implementation, troubleshooting across several technology areas including: networks and servers, hardware and desktop applications. The position works within Windows system environment, Windows applications and various custom applications.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Installation and repair on IT systems and technologies at dental and medical office environments.
Assist with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and set up as needed to ensure the system is operational.
Travel to client site to assist with repairing or installing network, computer workstations and software applications.
Provide technical support after initial installation and ensure that service commitments are met within the standard response time.
Respond to clients with computer problems; analyse and resolve problems within a Windows Environment
Installation, service, and maintenance of all components for cable television and telecommunication systems.
Office workstation setup and moves, including on-site or off-site as required.
Set up and troubleshoot computer hardware - desktops and laptops, printers, network and mobile devices etc.
Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
Attend and complete training programs as requested.
Qualifications and Skills:
2-3 years’ experience in IT Support environments prefer previous working experience from Dental IT, medical clinic or healthcare industries.
Experience with a range of technologies: Microsoft Servers, Windows OS, network (TPC\IP, Routing, VLAN, etc.), Connectivity - Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPNs
May require some physical activities such as lifting and moving computer equipment.
Flexibility and adaptability to be responsive to support requests while balancing daily tasks and responsibilities.
Certification CCNA, A+ or equivalent is an asset
Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle to drive.
